Pompano Beach
This week we rented a car and headed down to Pompano Beach which is just north of Fort Lauderdale. We were lucky and got to stay at a Wyndham Resort again (thanks Becky and Scott).
View from our room.
In between the buildings they had a nice court yard to walk through to get to the beach.
This was the sunset view from our room the first night we were there. This is on the channel side.
We also got up early again to catch the sunrise. I love this time of day.
I made a new friend. This little guy let me get about five feet from him. I think he was hoping I had some food for him.
One night while we were there we decided to splurge and take a sunset dinner and cruise on the Serenity.
So we got all dressed up, I did my hair, and by "did my hair" I mean I washed it didn't put it in a pony tail.
So remember when I said dad was getting into Hawaiian shirts? Check it out!
I know!! So different from the t-shirts. I like it though. It took me a while to figure out who he reminded me of until it finally clicked that he was totally dressed like Charlie Sheen in Two and a Half Men. 😁
The captain gave us points of interest along the way. So guess who owned the house below at one point in time?????? Yep, the one and only Chuck Norris. I didn't fact check the captain so I am taking him at his word.
The house right next to it is for sale. I think he said 11 million.
This one has four condos in it and you can be a proud owner for a cool 10 million. Can you imagine what the HOA fees are? Crazy.
All the houses along the whole channel had huge boats. Some of them were bigger than our old house.
Gas station on the water, just pull your yacht in and fuel up.
Our captain told us that the lighthouse you see in a lot of these pictures was bright enough when it was running to set the Everglades on fire. Again, I am taking him at his word.
We had a great few days chilling! Love and miss you all.
